Summer Family Service Trip, June 17-23, 2018

More Information

June 17-23, 2018
Join us this year for our Spring Break Family Trip and our new Summer Family Service Trip in León, Nicaragua.  These trips are a 7 day program for families who want to introduce their children to service and global citizenship while being immersed in a new place, language, people and culture. This year’s trips include 6 days in León and 1 day in Masaya, Granada and Laguna de Apoyo. In León we will explore the culture and history of the city, and work alongside rural families who are part of our rural community, sustainable development program. In the Granada area we will visit this beautifully restored colonial town, explore the historic market of Masaya and spend the evening and following day at Laguna de Apoyo among the flora and fauna of this ancient volcano and swimming in its beautiful and scenic lake.

ViviendasLeón has brought families for more than a decade to Nicaragua for a unique experience in international service, culture and travel. In Leon, each family stays together in a homestay, in a neighborhood where we have been working for more than 20 years. Homestays are an ideal way to get to know how Nicaraguans live; their customs, food and culture.
