2015 Summer Internship in Leon, Nicaragua

July 2015

This summer we have ten U.S. interns working with our staff and community partners in Nicaragua. Each intern has their own defined role and project such as: Social Media, Grant Research, Marketing, Small Business Development, Youth Development, Sports, Dance Class, English Class, and more. Interns spend hours with our staff creating programs and ideas on improving our impact in the rural communities of Nicaragua. Then they work with community members daily to implement these programs and learn about the people they are serving as well as the stories of Nicaragua.

“The history of Nicaragua is rich, and its culture is timeless. There is a story behind everything in this country. Its people are unique, and every person has a story to tell. I have appreciated the time that I have been given to listen to people and grow more familiar with who they are.” –Randi Jackson, College Intern
